does anybody have some tunes ( or helpfully hints even) for doing stuff in open tunings ( pref D or G ) or with a bottleneck? Aslo, I've retuned my freshman to open G , how to i work out what frets to use and what chords they are? ( I've never been able to understand a word of musical theory...)

Ok it is called open G because with all all the strings played open you will play G major, if you barre straight across the second fret you will play A, 4th fret B etc. Some info here alanhorvath.com/Gchart.phpVery good for Rolling Stones tunes. Keith Richard used it loads Start me up, Honky Tonk Woman to name a couple Not a lesson in slide / bottleneck but you may find it interesting
