Bump for good advice. I do the same but with Pride and Joy where you play your E chord then walk up, 4th fret on the E, 2nd on A, 4th on A, then 2nd on D. I'll play this in different tempos, or swing it. Instead of starting at the 4th fret on the E for the 2nd time through I'll walk back down or generally muck around with the pattern.
