I have a problem, I want to buy a guitar that is not offered in my country shops, so I thought I might order it online. I want to ask you guys, do you know any trustworthy online guitar shops, that deliver products to Europe countries? If you do not wish to advertise here, please write me a personal message. Thank you in advance

Thank you in advance I think Thomann deliver Europe wide - but they are just box shifters really so don't expect a set up. That is the trouble with buying online Hartnoll guitars also deliver to Europe www.hartnollguitars.co.uk/ and I can recommend them from personal experience from buying a fender Telecaster Richards Guitars are OK www.richardsguitars.co.uk/. I think they ship to Europe and again they will make sure that the guitar is OK and is set up properly. bought a couple of Guitars from them. They sell Stonebridge acoustics that are made in the Czech republic and they are really nice. I can't really recommend anyone else from personal experience. There are probably loads that will ship to Europe but you want a shop that will check the guitars and set them up

I've never bought a guitar untouched before either. Not that it wouldn't turn out fine but I would also be a little hesitant. Unless it was a Tom Anderson or Suhr or something of that caliber. The worst one of these axes beats just about anything you can pick up at the local music store.

A mate of mine living in France ordered a Peerless Jazz guitar from www.soundsgreatmusic.com/default.asp who are based in England, not far from Happy Jack curiously enough. They stock a variety of makes and models. My friend had a chat with their guitar tech on the phone before purchasing. He was very pleased with the guitar's set up when he got it and it was in good shape on delivery. Although he did buy a hard case too. Hope that helps.

Sounds Great is a really class shop - I didn't realise they shipped to Europe. The Guitar Tech there is my guitar teachers brother.

Cannot find anything from Epiphone there, well perhaps something from Cort... Yeah they are a bit funny what they stock - but for electro acoustics Yamaha APX, Cort SFX and Takamine EG are good starting points I would have thought

I saw Takamine EG in my local shops, perhaps I wouldn't need to order online. But kevina insist that I should try Epiphone PR-5 electro- acoustics, well I like what I saw so far, but still don't know if i should buy online.

You are taking a big chance because you are buying a guitar you haven't tried. Most on-line stores will allow you to return the guitar if you don't like it but that can be costly If you can avoid buying on-line it is better Saying that I have bought a few guitars on-line and they have all been good

Well it seems that I have to decide if it's necessary to order online

I have bought a few guitars online, the only issue I have had is getting it without a proper setup. I prefer buying in person, because a lot of shops will throw in a free setup and they usually got a guy who knows more about them than me doing it.

A good reason not to buy on-line - but some shops do set ups and also sell on-line - not the "box shifters" though.

Generaly I agree that buying a guitar without playing it is a mistake. There are some exceptions, One: if the price is great and you can afford to take it someware and have it fixed if it needs it. Two: if it is a rare guitar that you can't normally have access to. Three: if the return policy is good and has no hidden costs. Buying local is always the best. Develope a relationship with your local guitar guy and they can be a great resource. Phil
