Went up to work on a new song and my main computer would not fire up. Oh well. New parts are on the way. I do miss not being able to record. My lap top just doesn't have the power to work correctly. I ordered a new Intel i7 quad processor.

Sonar X1 Producer. I have tried several over the years and found this one to be very good. All of the top programs are very similar. A friend of mine uses Pro Tools and around here that is probably the most popular. Learning curves on these programs are pretty high so most of use don't change programs very often.

I gotta learn to read. The first time I looked at this thread, I thought it said Christmas Gretsch. I thought you got a new guitar. Boy, do I feel like an idiot.

Well I am back in business. The New Mother board and quad processor , the I-7, is up and going. And it is twice as fast as my old system. I doubled the cooling as well. For all you Geeks, this thing is a screamer. I did have to redo my audio setting. The ASIO setting I use to use, did funny things with the processor so I used the new WMD I think it stands for Weapons of Mass Destruction, just kidding. Now the whole things works even better than before, I was able to decrease the latency setting to 1/2 what I was using before. Still tweaking but I am up and going again.
