Go the dire straits carpet on the walls tactic there's usually stuff you can do to get 'good enough' quality. in some ways we got better recording quality out of what I was doing in the garage for our band with 2 mics (when I got the positioning right) than what we got out of the studio. It was a less processed result, ok noisy and echo-y, but it had its merits. Most of my stuff on here has been DI into my boss box, or mic'd amp and mic'd me.

Hi Mojo Like the last chaps message he left you I am 71 years old as well, I first picked a guitar and started having a few lessons 18 years ago but did not keep it up now I am retired and with my third wife I have started wanting to carry on with my playing that's when you came in I am learning with the help from you Eric Claptons wonderful tonight looking forward to when I can play it as good as you, Thanks Mojo you are a great guy.
