Anyone else using an iOS device for music production? I've been using an iRig, Amplitube and a iPod Touch. Just bought SampleTank for iPhone and was blown away! I ordered the iRig Midi too for 48 more sounds too! Can't wait to use this live! How are you using your iPhone or iPod for music?

I have a friend that got an I pad and had started to create music with it, I have not talked his in several months but at the time he really liked it.

Interesting thing I found in my search of multi fx pedals: www.digitech.com/en-US/products/ipb-10-programmable-pedalboardI haven't done any research into whether the device is good / bad. Seems a bit of a gimmick to me and don't think it could really sound good rigged up this way. Plus I don't have the money to buy an ipad AND a pedal (tho effectively it's a controller, and it should be cheaper imo). But it could have its merits.

It's amazing how far we've come at being able to capture and edit raw ideas on the fly. From small handheld recorders to now apps for an iPhone, we've definitely come some distance.

soundcloud.com/midnightchef/guess-i-showed-her-robert-crayiPod touch's inbuilt mic. No iRig. Nothing fancy. Recorded onto the voice memo function and emailed to myself (thanks mojo!). I have an iRig and have played around with it a bit. Sounds alright, but I need to fiddle a bit more with it nice for practicing quietly tho. I've gotten a couple of the looping programs to have a play with as well. Will be interesting once I get around to it hehe

Ok for those of you who don't scroll down (this is probably too low also!) I updated myself to an iPad (bye bye ipod, err when I get around to it) and mucked around with Garageband for a lil bit. Still using inbuilt mic which is good, tho I actually think the ipad mic picks up too much (the speaker arrangement appears quite different to the ipods / iphones). Added other tracks using the Garage band. I think I wreck it more than garageband does but enjoy hahaha mojocaster.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=vidsclips&action=display&thread=1137

I'm also using several apps for lyrics, chords, tabs etc but haven't really settled on one I like yet.
