www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1052576This link will get you to sound click and press on the Lords prayer. Just finished it a few weeks ago, still a little rough but would be interested in your opinion. I performed this at our Apple Jam concert the other night.

OK guys I really need to know what you think of the guitar parts of this song. It is a change from my normal style. But it is growing on me. I know the lead guitar parts are not to compete with the vocals but I thought I would see if I could maintain a balance. Let me have some feed back.

Just had a listen Phil.
Good song, really enjoyed the tune. re the balance between the guitar and vocals. I think it works well, it does sound a little like the guitar work is more prominent than the vocals. However I think it works for the song, the vocals are not swamped and it is the guitar work that "makes" the song.
Hope that makes sense.
Les

Thanks Les, that's exactly what I was looking for, that was just a quick demo and I hope I can do better when I do a real recording and find someone with a more interesting voice than mine. Now that I know were the drums are in my recording program It is getting more fun to record.

Just had a listen. Well the melody seems very nice Phil, it just flows perfectly, can't say I noticed any guitar parts in there that didn't fit. It's dynamic and not boring at all, so I must say that is well done. Not sure completelly about the vocals though, it seems that your voice fades away a bit somewhere in the middle of the song, it seems that guitar overscreams your voice there, and it goes back again in the last part of the song. So you might wanna check the volume balance right there. As for the song itself, I must say it's a great piece of work you did there Phil, I envy you (light jelousy ofcourse ) .

I thought the guitar line was excellent, the vocal line was a bit shaky in places - it is a good song, good luck MT
