Well, we had a forum and I had to shut it down due to all the spam and horrible content that was posted. This is our second - and last - attempt at getting a forum going for these sites. Please be kind and respectful. When in doubt, err on the side of courtesy. We're all hear to share our passion and learn more about playing, so let's focus on that! Thanks Mojo. Very new player, but love your videos and teaching style. Thanks for putting this together and keeping me inspired! Cheers, David

So.Hi everybody, i'm french, 42 years old, playing guitar for 4 years now, love blues, blues-rock and a big fan of Angus Young since i'm twelve. Playing a Gibson Sg, love telecaster too.......

Wish I could do that. At some point my guitars reach critical mass and all get sold bar a couple. Then more appear....

whatsup, dropping in from france here, started guitar 3 years ago but have been teacher-less for almost a year now since I moved back to europe so I've been checking out youtube videos instead. I gotta admit there's only 2 teachers on youtube that do the trick, Mojo & Marty, but at the end of the day when I wanna learn something awesome and feel good about learning it right I always end up clicking on one of Mojo's blues riffs/licks lessons, so keep on doing what you're doing here's a picture of my 2 guitars, both are pretty damn crappy but they do the job. ibanez gio/g10 (the ones you get in that beginner pack) stol brand electro-acoustic. If you're wondering what Stol is I don't know either, picked it up for super cheap when I moved. I actually have a problem with the ibanez, I recently changed all the strings and if I pluck an open G hard enough it makes a weird annoying rackety noise. This doesn't happen when I tune down/up or when I hold a fret down just standard open G. Don't know if anyone would know what this is about. I also have a request for mojo but I'll put that in the appropriate section since I saw there is one, so hello to everyone

Welcome. An N64? old school, respect or whatever those young people say I spy ernie ball 9s in your first photo. If you usually use these, but changed to a heavier gauge of strings this time, ie to ones where the smallest string number is a 10 or 11, you might need to raise your string height to make room for the thicker strings. Also I suppose you might have put a heavier string on G than you should of? ie you put the D string on by mistake. Just a thought To raise your string height: You'll see some little allen (hex) key slots down in the bridge saddles that you can adjust to raise / lower them. If I just confused you, the bridge is the metal bit at the bottom of your guitar where the strings go into. Here you will find 6 saddles that your 6 strings go into. For G you want to adjust the third thinnest string. Find a little allen key and turn clockwise, if memory serves, to raise the string. Do this gradually until buzz is gone, but you shouldn't have to move it that much. I should mention also each saddle has 2 of these allen keys slots. Turn each equally to keep the saddle level. As you're raising the string, you'll find the tuning goes out so you will need to retune.

Very informative post Rob, don't think I have heard such a clear description before. Oh and welcome to the forum Sollophonic and eliek.

As you're raising the string, you'll find the tuning goes out so you will need to retune. I didn't put the D string on the G slot, the only reason that 9s still hanging around is because I had broken my high E a couple weeks ago and replaced it by buying an individual high E string, then I bought a set to redo the whole guitar but decided to keep that high E since it was fairly new anyways. I know what you mean about the saddles but I need to find an allen key to do it, which I don't have. Guess I'll start looking for that, I was actually wondering how to change those because when changing my low E I noticed the saddle was extremely low and it took me a good 10 minutes to simultaneously hold the saddle up while holding the guitar and pushing the string WHILE angling it enough to go into the hole, got frustating x). So thank you, I'm gonna try that once I find a hex key.
